So I know we’ve been rather inactive but don’t you worry, we’re still here!  The only thing is, we’ve been super busy, but we haven’t forgotten about all you wonderful Fnergle acolytes out there ^_~  Ergonyx lives!

I also took some time to sit in a discussion with Vyse, AJValentine, Ck, Bobmuffins, and Arcter about Payday 2 which you can watch here on Vyse’s YouTube channel.  As I hadn’t played a lot of Payday, I missed most of what they were talking about but that’s gonna change as more time becomes available to me!

Now, I said I was busy and you’re probably wondering what I’ve been busy with since the 100 hour marathon so I shall reveal all!  Hopefully you have some time to sit down and read a wall of text hehe.

So obviously in December was Christmas which I spent with the family which was a rather new experience for me as I’m not usually the type to celebrate the holidays.  Usually I just sit around and play video games while drinking some Guinness, but alas, I have a family now so that wasn’t the plan my girlfriend had in mind lol.  She made a great big dinner, we had family over, opened presents (Which, by the way, she bought me some amazing Jack Skellington things!) and just had a blast!

In January, my girlfriend changed her workplace.  She needed some support during that time and I obviously gave it to her.  We also started making plans for a vacation in March (which I’ll get to later) and made a few other life changes such as getting healthy.  I started going to the gym 3-5 times a week and healthier eating on top of a more family oriented household.

February rolled around in which I had some time to review the music submissions, get the votes going, and reward the winners.  February also had valentines day which led me and the girlfriend to a nice little place in a small town outside our city for a bit.  The healthy lifestyle continued and it was more often 5 days a week at the gym as opposed to 3 which meant less time at home.

March was our month for vacation.  We went to this small island called Saipan for almost two weeks and let me tell you, it’s one hell of a place!  The people are friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, the beaches even more so and the views were breathtaking.  Perhaps I’ll upload some pictures in my next post.  As our kid is leaving Grade school and making his way into Jr. High, this was a topic of discussion along with moving depending on which Jr. High he was going to.

April was my birthday which my girlfriend was making a big deal of and I’m glad she did.  She got me some amazing gifts and it was probably the best birthday I’ve had!  Again, I’ll probably upload some pics of the gifts in the next post.  Discussions about our kid are still ongoing and moving is starting to look much more likely so that will also take up some time.  This month I was actually trying to do some streaming but my ISP seems to be having issues in my area which is preventing me from doing any sort of quality streaming. This problem is currently being worked out… slowly.

We are sorry that we haven’t been that active in the past weeks, but we have been busy with our private life and i hope you all will understand.

I got some good news and some bad news for you guys. So bad news first.

The good news is that we have decided to focus a lot more on YouTube than we have done in the past. We have concluded that this is the best and easiest way to grow a strong community.

During their stream they will have prizes and a few eBay auctions up in which people can bid on Resident Evil, Walking Dead and other Zombie related goodies!  But what really caught my attention was the Challenges & Punishments sections where you can donate a certain amount and make them perform actions in game or in person that can make things that much more difficult!

If we didn’t take all your extra money during our stream, I ask that you head over to their Donation page and donate while visiting their stream and maybe give them a hard time by executing a punishment!  I know I’ll be making someone speak only in rhymes for 15 minutes ^_^

Every donation, no matter how big or how small, helps charity and if you have children, what better charity than Child’s Play to donate to!  Remember, it’s about children and fun and we can’t forget what it is to game when we were kids.  Every child should experience that childlike wonder of your first game when you solve that puzzle or beat that boss and you feel like you did something amazing!

The differences between here and my home city of Calgary are many and they range from little things like seeing bicycles everywhere to the prices on healthy food to even the look of houses!  There is just so much that differs from home that it’s overwhelming and often makes me wonder if I’m dreaming.

Every time I see these differences I long for the familiarity of home and wish to be back there, which I’m sure tells you I don’t travel a whole lot, but I remember why I’m here and what there is to be learned.  That gives me the strength to stay rather than pack up my things and pay the penalty for an early flight home.

Being homesick aside, my stay here has been wonderful.  The Bed and Breakfast I’ve been staying in has been cozy and very open while the food hasn’t caused too much havoc on my digestive system, and the people… I love the people here!

If you’ve been planning a trip somewhere, be it solo or with loved ones, you should absolutely take it!  Even if you might be terrified of flying (I learned I was!) or worried about what might happen while on your adventure, it will be worth the experience.  So please, do yourself a favor, and don’t deny yourself the wonders of the world!

I’ll probably write another update next week to see how things go after our event is over so be sure to check back from time to time!

We are so excited about all the support we have gotten, and we couldn’t be happier about how much the developers wants to support this event.

Less than a week later i received my new PC, and i was very surprised (In a positive way) how fast the delivery was! But i got home setting everything up, turned the power ON, and it just worked perfectly. The only thing I needed to do was to install Windows and then I was good to go.

Of course the first thing I tested on this machine was the performance. Dueify found some nice benchmarks for me to try out and I got some pretty good results with both the GPU and the CPU. So I was pretty satisfied!

Overall I’m very happy about this new machine and if you’re from Denmark, I would recommend buying from SharkGaming - those guys know how to build one hell of a monster machine!
